Every Replica I have seen shows that the text on the Upper Console reads:
INTENSITY               INFRA-RED
[TRACKING]            PARALLAX
RANGE SEEK                 PRE-SET SCAN
However, I have not seen anything in the show, or Behind the Scenes photos that confirms this text to be accurate. Does anyone have the photo proof that this IS what the text was in the show? Or was it made up by someone and has since been become commonly accepted/ignored for lack of adequate reference?

UPDATE: I asked around and Brian "Knightdriver" confirmed that a behind the scenes book titled The Knight Rider Album by Chip Lovitt (1984) does contain one black and white photo that shows the upper console text. I picked up a copy and from the what I can tell the above text does seem pretty spot on. With one exception: TRACKING. This one slot was indeed made-up as a filler due to the light for this slot being off in the original photo. This would account for different vendors using a different word in this slot (i.e SCANNING). I have also seen INTENSITY being misinterpreted as INTEGRITY, which logic tells me is wrong based on every other gauge being very technical in nature, while an INTEGRITY meter is too subjective. KITT's about facts, not feelings.
